The Association of Palestinian Arab Canadians (APAC) brings together Palestinians living in Canada’s National Capital Region for cultural, educational, and social activities. Founded in 1985, APAC’s aim is to organise educational, cultural and community events and programs for the Palestinian community in the National Capital Region. APAC also plays a role as an advocacy group for Palestinians living in Canada. It encourages its members to send letters to their provincial and federal Members of Parliament. It regularly monitors the media and sends media releases out to its media contacts. APAC elects its board members on a yearly basis.
APAC was founded on January 15, 1985 by Qasem Mahmud, Ahmad Murad, Monzer Zimmo, and Noaman Habib.
